The Architecture of Waste serves as a two-fold academic text, which on one hand unpacks both the global and architectural worlds of waste, mishandled materials, and recycling practices, through multiple chapters touching on key topics and issues. The second part introduces a series of case study projects (completed by students as part of two design studios) that demonstrates applied research and 1:1 scale physical prototyping with the intention to approach waste objects with architectonic potential and push them beyond their formal stereotypes.
